Calendar Confusion

Today we have been doing our calander art for next year.

Our topic was a scene of Wainui camp.

First we planned it on a piece of scrap paper then once we got permission from the teacher we went onto our good copy.

We drew what we had planned then we outlined everything in vivid.

We then coloured only the pictures in the border what ever colour we wanted it to be. Then once again we had to ask the teacher if we could start dying our border on our picture.

Here are some photos we will share with you.

THE MOST HARDEST WALK OF ALL

On Tuesday 6 November we were ready for the Walkathon. We did the Walkathon to raise money for the school and to get fit. We started walking at 1pm. We got stamped off on our cards for every lap that we did. Alex Davidson went around the crescent seventeen times, along with Anton McGeachen! The Kiwi team joined in as well. They joined in at 2pm and most of them did at least three laps and some did six. Even some of the teachers joined in and went round the crescent with us. There were three great prizes to be won for the three poeple who raised the most money and you could also win spot prizes. Thanks to everyone and to the parents who helped as well. We will be able to get new sports gear for the school with the money that we raised. But at the end of the day we all had fun. Some people's legs are still really sore, though!

ZONES ATHLETICS

On Friday 2nd November, it was the athletics zone competition.
First were the relays and poor Amy Robinson tripped up as she was passing
the baton to Morgan.
Next there were the sprints. Ella and Amy M. were in the 50 metres. Ella came 1st
in the heat and 3rd in the final. Sheree came 1st in her sprints.
The middle distance was getting closer and closer and I was
getting so nervous! Then the time had come. I got out and . . . ready, set, go!
I was going as fast as I could but in the end I don't know where I came!
Next, Ella and Abbey had long jump. Abbey jumped 3.15m and Ella jumped 3.39m.
Azaria threw 5 metres in shotput and Prue threw 6.49 meters! It was a really tiring day in the end but it was worth it till next year.
